Development of former Molins Site – Appeal lodged

At the end of September St Congar, the developer, lodged an appeal against Wycombe District Council’s (WDC) failure to reach a decision on St Congar’s application to build 212  homes on the former Molins site.  This means that the decision on whether or not the developer will be permitted to go ahead with its proposals will be decided by a  Planning Inspector rather than by WDC.  St Congar had agreed to a number of extensions in the six week timetable for determining planning applications, but appears now to have decided to go straight to appeal.  The Parish Council will be contacting WDC to find out what representations WDC will be making to the Planning Inspector and if/when the public will be given an opportunity to make further representations of their own.  In practice, planning appeals can take a long time and any decision on the Molins application is unlikely to be made for at least 6 months.
