Bledlow cum Saunderton Parish Council recently surveyed all the headstones and memorials in Bledlow Churchyard and Saunderton Burial Ground.
Unfortunately, our inspection found a few memorials to be unsafe so the Parish Council has carefully and respectfully laid some of them flat in order to prevent any accidents. We understand that this may cause upset but we are obliged to take this action to ensure the safety of members of the publicunder The Local Authorities Cemeteries Order 1977
The Parish Council is now trying to locate any living relatives for the following headstones:
Bledlow Churchyard
Arthur Sneath died 1871 and Harold Sneath died 1875
William Avery date of death unknown
Rose Ann Roberts died 2nd January 1933
Mary Clarke died 1838 and John Clarke died 1841
Saunderton Churchyard
Lottie Harris died 28th May 1973
Edmund Frances Arnold 1927 – 2011
Emily Berman 1917 – 2011
John Morton died 1979 and Constance Morton died 1991
